“Chingu” means friend in Korean, and that’s exactly how we work. Chingu Supports is a small, local NDIS support provider in Point Cook, in Melbourne’s west, helping adults with the everyday things that make home and community life easier.
You’ll get to know your support worker, and they’ll get to know you. No different stranger at your door each visit.
We support plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. New enquiries welcome.

About us
Chingu Supports is a new, small and local support provider based in Point Cook. We started Chingu because we believe good support is built on a real relationship: knowing how you like your tea, what time you like to get going in the morning, and what a good day looks like for you.
Because we’re small and local, you’re never just a number on a roster. You deal directly with us, your worker is someone you know and trust, and if something comes up, you can simply pick up the phone and talk to a real person.
Chingu Supports may be new, but it isn’t starting from scratch. Chingu Supports is built on around 10 years of aged care experience, including four years in dementia care at SDCU. That past experience shapes how we work today: patiently, respectfully, and with a real understanding of what good everyday care looks like.
We provide everyday supports for adults, in your home and out in the community across Melbourne’s west.
친구 · Chingu
(pronounced “chin-goo”)
In Korean, chingu is the everyday word for friend, someone you’re comfortable with, someone who shows up for you.
That’s the standard we set for every visit: support that feels less like a service, and more like a friend lending a hand.
What we do
We focus on everyday supports, done well. These are the three services we offer for adults:
Respectful, unhurried help with your daily personal routine, at your pace and in your way.
A hand around the house, so your home stays clean, comfortable and easy to live in.
Support to get out and about, stay connected, and take part in the things you enjoy.
Who we support
We support adults across Melbourne’s western suburbs and surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether we’re the right fit, give us a call. We’re happy to talk it through, with no obligation.
Chingu Supports is currently an unregistered NDIS provider. This means we can support participants who plan-manage or self-manage their NDIS funding. We’re unable to support NDIA-managed (agency-managed) plans. Like all providers, registered or not, we follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, and all of our workers hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
We’re a new service, starting small and doing things properly. As Chingu Supports grows, we plan to work towards NDIS registration, and we’ll update this page when that happens.
Why choose us
Big providers have call centres. We have something simpler: people who know you.
You’re matched with a consistent, regular worker, not a different stranger each time. They learn your routine, your preferences and what matters to you.
If your regular worker is sick or away, we arrange a backup worker so your support continues and you’re not left on your own.
Every Chingu worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, and we follow the NDIS Code of Conduct in all our work.
We live and work in Melbourne’s west. When you call, you speak directly with our small local team: no call centre, no long hold music.

Getting started
Step 1
Call us on 0459 375 313 or email info@chingusupports.com.au. Tell us a little about what support you’re looking for.
Step 2
We’ll talk through your needs, your plan, and how you like things done, and answer any questions you or your family have.
Step 3
We match you with a regular support worker and agree on a start date and routine that suits you. Then we get going.
Not at this stage. As an unregistered provider, we can only support participants whose plans are plan-managed or self-managed. If your plan is NDIA-managed, you may be able to discuss changing how your plan is managed at your next plan review with the NDIA or your Local Area Coordinator.
Yes. That’s the idea behind Chingu. You’re matched with a consistent, regular worker who gets to know you and your routine. If your worker is ever away, we’ll arrange a backup so you’re not left without support.
Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, and we follow the NDIS Code of Conduct in everything we do.
